about

On the River Bank is fresh from Hill House Studios. It was written, recorded, engineered, and filmed yesterday, and was started initially on my brother in laws Washburn steel string. The song touches on the topic of meeting habitual tendencies when facing difficulties mixed with superstition, and finding balance where one can in the process.

lyrics

She went away from me,
Mental river drains dry,
A little happiness steady leaking outa my eyes,
I read a fortune lying
On the concrete; the Queen of Spades,
She's my omen,
Take me to my resting place
On the riverbank,
Watchin the fun pass me by,
I play the river,
Dream of money stacked high,
Like I'm a baller,
In all fairness I'm a Pauper.

We're getting outa here,
It's the only thing we can do,
Anxiety and honestly I'm on the edge,
Almost ready,
Jumping is not an option for the dead,
But I'm bloody ready,
And trying to bring order the chaos in my head,
But it isn't working x 1million

about

Philip-John K Mauro Waterloo, Ontario

Philip-John K Mauro...me...the writer of this music, and also this bio have been working with sound and instruments for some time now. Since I was a child I began scoring notes. None of what I've done since I 8 years old has been scored but I've continued to make new music because I have too many thoughts. And music is the right time and place for them.

I was born in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada.
